Geoffrey Tan is a Managing Director at Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), and is OPIC’s Asia-Pacific regional representative based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Mr. Tan has worked in emerging markets infrastructure financing for over 19 years. Since joining OPIC in 2003, he has worked primarily on power, renewable energy, water, toll roads and port projects, but has also diversified into future flow and financial institutions transactions. These projects have been across Latin America, the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia. He has been involved in innovative and groundbreaking deals requiring creative project and long term debt structuring solutions in unique and challenging environments.
Prior to OPIC Mr. Tan worked for the Chase Manhattan Bank (now JPMorgan Chase) in New York, Singapore and Hong Kong focusing on project and structured finance, and for Emerging Markets Partnership in Singapore focusing on private equity infrastructure investments. His work with them in the Americas and Asia included experience in the power, oil & gas, mining, telecommunications, transportation, pulp & paper, and petrochemical sectors.

Furthermore, she has also served at the Team Leader for a multi country (Cambodia, Lao PDR and Viet Nam) ADB funded Climate Change Mitigation project focusing on gender inclusion in mitigation initiatives.

Prior to joining WRI, Almo worked as an implementation consultant for energy and power sector with the global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company and also at the International Energy Agency where he supported the formulation of two of IEA’s major publications namely: 2014 World Energy Outlook, and 2014 Africa Energy Outlook. Almo also has eight years of experience in the oil and gas industry with British Petroleum (BP) and Petronas.
Almo graduated from University College London (UCL) in the UK with an M.Sc. in Energy Economics and B.Sc in Petroleum Engineering.

Ms. Yosiyana joined ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) in 2014 and currently acts as the Project Manager for the ASEAN-German Energy Programme (AGEP), a joint cooperation programme with GIZ with the objective to improve regional cooperation in renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency & conservation (EE&C) in ASEAN.
Prior to her current position, she was the Acting Manager for the Renewable Energy Support Programme for ASEAN, another joint programme of ACE and GIZ. Her recent work includes study on levelised cost of electricity for RE technologies (LCOE) in ASEAN, ASEAN RE Policies, and RE Outlook in collaboration with IRENA.
Before joining ACE, Ms. Yosiyana worked with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on the climate change project in Indonesia where she contributed in developing the National and Regional Action Plan on GHG Emission Reduction (RAN-GRK).
She completed her Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia), and Master degree in Environmental Engineering from National Cheng Kung University (Tainan, Taiwan).
Her interests are among others RE and EE&C, climate change, sustainable development and climate financing.

Ir. Dr. Sanjayan Velautham was appointed as the Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) in January 2015 reporting directly to the Governing Council consisting of Senior Officials on Energy from each ASEAN Member State (AMS) and a representative from the ASEAN Secretariat as an ex-officio member.
Dr. Velautham has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, academia and research institutes. A registered professional engineer (P.Eng.) with a doctoral degree in Engineering, he has 15 years in the energy industry, and 10 years of research/teaching experience at Kyushu University, Japan, and University of Technology, Malaysia.
He worked in Singapore before taking the assignment as ACE Executive Director, initially with the Agency of Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) as a Deputy Director, then with General Electric as Country Manager for Power Generation Services business. He had started his career at Tenaga Nasional Bhd. in Malaysia within the Power Generations Division. He had also served as the National Project Manager for the the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP Malaysia)’s BioGen Project.
Dr. Velautham has authored several publications, in international conferences, journals and subject modules particularly in the field of energy. He was also a panel member in preparing the Thermal Energy Efficiency Guideline for Malaysia. His interest among others is to continue to engage in the strategy and policy research related to sustainable energy development within the ASEAN region.

Rahul Agrawal has 11 years of experience in investing in the Indian infrastructure sector. He is currently an Investment Principal in the energy investment team at Actis Private Equity. At Actis, Rahul is part of the team managing Actis’ energy investments in India and has been involved in setting up renewable energy platforms in Africa and India. Prior to joining Actis, Rahul worked as a Senior Manager in the structured finance team at IL&FS Financial Services Ltd and before that as an Associate Vice President with ICICI Venture in the private equity team focusing on investments in infrastructure and allied sectors.

Before joining Canadian Solar, he was active in Semiconductor Industry, Silicon wafer manufacturing, for Process Engineering, Application Technology and Sales for Wacker Siltronic, Germany. In current position, he oversees Modules and PV System sales for South East Asia, as well as for setting up module manufacturing plant in Indonesia, to satisfy the local content requirement of Indonesia PV program. He graduated from TH Darmstadt, Germany, holding PhD in Solid State Chemistry and NTU Singapore/BI Oslo in EMBA.

Yash is a Vice President in Project Finance team of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) based in Singapore. He has about 9 years of financial advisory, loan structuring and arranging experience with expertise in Power, Infrastructure, Oil and Gas and Mining.
Yash has been extremely active in numerous power Projects in Indonesia (Financial Advisor for Hasang Hydro; Mandated Lead Arranger(MLA) for Wampu Hydro, Central Java IPP, Kalsel IPP; Structuring Bank to bidder for Chevron Geothermal Divestment Projects) and is currently involved in various other renewable power mandates in Indonesia and the region.
Yash has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow and Bachelor of Engineering, Nirma Institute of Technology, India. Yash is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
